Art Basel this year was awesome to say the least. After last year I’d been looking forward to it as my year-ending-must-do trip. I was really focused on painting more this year than last. I was fortunate enough to meet Sloane from Found Design when I landed, showed her my blackbook and got some space to paint! Bask had already painted these cool birds on this wall a few years back. Sloane asked if it was possible to integrate the birds into my piece (no prob) as she wanted to keep them. I wanted to contrast Bask’s textured stoic birds with whatever I did (I freestyled the whole wall) so I added a vibrant Miru and colorful shards all around the wall. I still have sooo many photos I could show but I’ll hang on to those. I went to enjoy myself, paint, support my friends and that made my Art Basel fresh. Cant wait for next year’s to see what happens.
